First Evangelical Covenant Church of Rockford, IL contacted Sonic Art with a challenging need for an audio upgrade. The unique building, shaped like a pyramid, was in dire need of a new sound system to keep up with their growing congregation. Using state of the art computer technology, the entire church was replicated in 3D. The system was then designed to cover only the congregation and not the irregular surfaces of the ceiling and walls.

With the addition of wireless systems, system tuning and training, First Evangelical Covenant Church is ready to grow and bring the message to its congregation.

A four speaker EAW cluster with overhead platform monitor was decided upon. QSC amplifiers were chosen, and hooked up to a computer controlled system to allow both technical personnel on site and Sonic Art remotely to monitor all aspects of the amplifiers performance. At the head of the system, a Yamaha digital console runs the show, with the capability of saving user presets for the various services and operators the church required.
