The Church Triumphant
The Church Triumphant of Columbus, Ohio’s audio and video was upgraded in three phases. Phase one provided audio and video for their new worship space. With an eye on future expansion, an expanded EAW speaker system was selected and installed with two rear projection screens.
We incorporated their existing Allen & Heath 40-channel console and added an Architectural Acoustics digital processor to provide system tuning for main, monitor, and recording feeds.
Because the temporary extended stage wouldn’t permit wiring, video prompting was achieved by adding a new projection system on the back wall of the sanctuary. The second phase was implemented to accommodate a cutting edge music and theatrical program.
These provide the musicians control over their monitor mixes and significantly reduce stage volume for a crisper sound in the house.
Two folded EAW horn subs added intense lower frequency response. Extensive acoustic treatment was added to remove the “gym echo” and create a balanced sound. For lighting, a Leviton dimmer rack provided 24 new channels of dimming. Adding ten moving head light fixtures and various specialized fixtures transformed the existing lighting into a theatrical system. Their tech team can plan and preview the light show with ShowXpress 3D modeled computer control. Finally, the last phase included an Aviom personal monitor system and second overhead monitor. These provide the musicians control over their monitor mixes and significantly reduce stage volume for a crisper sound in the house.
